Trip 2 - Day 3 Its Official!!

This morning the judge officially decreed that David and I are Zach's parents! We were so happy to hear those words. Court in a foreign country even for "good" is still stressful - the desire to say the right words and to show the right respect with out being patronizing, is all very stressful. But we made it thanks to "V".

There were no smiles in the court room and everything was very intense. We were very very lucky - our proceedings took about 30-45 minutes. The judge reviewed all of our documents and we were asked questions by the prosecutor. When the judge left the room to deliberate the social worker from the baby home and the prosecutor all smiled and cooed over the photos we took for the court to review. Which was good because I was really worried when we got no emotions at all over the pictures.

I could write a book just on court today. SOOOO long story short we are Zach's parents and we are just over whelmed with joy and happiness. We confirmed today that offical physical custody will be May 5th.

After we finished with court we went to the adoption agency office and then we went to the notary's office and did some paperwork. So that was one more thing done!

We ended today with a celebatory dinner at TGI-Friday with the couple from NY and a trip to the grocery store. Fun times had by all.

It was a great day and a long day. Dave is supposed to be working on putting some pictures up. Hopefully he will do that soon! Please keep us in your prayers.
