Major Events

Since our last post two major events have occurred. We celebrated Zach's first birthday yesterday. I thought that I would not be able to function - but I made it. Monday night I could not sleep and the drive to work was hard. One of the sweetest ladies at my work gave me a card on Monday, on it was written "Master Zachary" with specific instruction not to open till Tuesday. I had to open it that morning. It was a birthday card for Zach. How sweet for someone else to remember. I digress. Anyway - Dave and I had a little birthday cake. I gave Dave a birthday present for Zach to open. Orange overalls with a tiger paw on the bib. Dave loved them. He wants his own pair now. Don't worry there are other colors in Zach's wardrobe. Yesterday was a good day - its the day our son was born!!! Its overwhelming and bitter sweet not to share it with him. I know our sweet little guy is in good hands, I just can't wait till we get him in ours!

We are soooooo ready to go!! Our visas are here and are correct. We have most of the packing done...I say most. Its so hard to judge the temperature. We hoping for warmish days and beautiful weather. Since we are there for so long I am sure that we are going to see temperature fluctuations and maybe even a little sun!

So as you can see we are so ready to get back to Moscow! Not too much longer.

Oh yeah, the other major event... I had a birthday. A big one... I now have a "0" in my age.

That must have been so hard to celebrate your son's birthday without him. Just think this is the only time you will have to do that. Soon you will see your son again. We will have to keep in touch b/c we may be in Russia the same time as you. We are hoping to hear something about our court dates soon. Good luck with all your packing!

Happy Birthdays! Although you couldn't be with Zach, you still celebrated and I bet he felt the love all the way over in Russia. So will that be his take home outfit? It sounds very cute. I just got our visa's yesterday and as you know that is a huge relief-just to have them in hand. Now keep packing, not long now!

Happy Birthday to both you and Zach! As Dana said, these are the last birthdays you will celebrate without him. I know you are counting the days. You'll be back in Moscow with him very soon!
