Wow!

That's all I can really say. I sit back and look at this little miracle and just think WOW!

Lets hit the high points:

Sleep:
We are sleeping very well. Zach is sleeping in his own crib with little to no crying before sleep. We take two naps and go to bed by 8:30 and still wake early between 6-6:30.

Eating:
We are still eating our cereal with formula mixed with puree fruit. Gerber stage 2 and 3 food. We ate a real banana today. Loved that. And this boy loves his yogurt! Zach is taking his spoon and getting some food in his mouth. Precious. He is also taking a sippy cup pretty well.

Bath: Going great! Loves toys and cups in the bath.

Plumbing: All working well.

Play:
We still love our stacking cups. Our ball and cars. Always loves to flip through his books. Zach just loves playing with our faces. He is mimicking and sticking his tongue out so cutely. Zach has a push toy that he likes to push around the house with his cute baby walk. He is really cute with it because he is self correcting after he runs in to walls and furniture. He turns around to laugh and make sure we saw the crash and just keeps going. Lots of finger walking! Tonight Zach found the Tupperware cabinet and decided to pull out his "new toys". It was very cute watching him pull one out and look back at me to make sure it was ok. Then he decided he had free range and just made himself at home. Banging bowls and lids together.

Bonding/Attachment:
Great eye contact. Little fingers curl in on hugs. Kisses and hands on face with sweet little smiles. He doesn't pull away or arch back - always comfortable in our arms or when we reach for him. Zach looks to us when new people come around and always turn in to us and then to the new person. Seeks us out when we leave the room. The list goes on. We are blessed.

Farm Life:
Loves to feed the goats and watch the cows. He was entranced by a mama bird (kill dear) today that was protecting her nest in our driveway. He just watched with curiosity as she chirped very lively and flapped winds around. Zach just looked back and forth to us and the bird.

First Pediatrician visit:
We went to see Dr. Walker today. She was very impressed with our little guy. Dr. Walker feels that he is well on his way to being 6'-1". He still weighed in at 23.5lbs. Zach is right on target for head circumference, height and weight. Dr. Walker was very impressed with the bonding that she saw and commented on how well we are doing as a family. She stated that he is looking good and will see him again in 3 weeks to review all our lab work and recheck where we stand.

Shoes:
We got our first pair of "real" shoes. Shoes that are ALL HIS and that fit!! His wide foot came in at a 5.5 and adorable.

Home:
Dave and I are so lucky to be home together with Zach right now. I feel like I am reaping the benefit more to be honest. Thus far Dave has washed windows, added a floor outlet (with two great assistants - Granddaddy Love and Zach), gone to the grocery store, child proofing the kitchen, and moved furniture around. Not to mention the most important thing – being a DADDY. How lucky am I! It is so sweet to see my boys rolling around on the floor or playing in the bath tub.

Each night we are so thankful for the good day we have had as a family. We anticipate the problems that can arise and pray that they don't come. We are just so happy to be home and to look in to Zach's huge brown eyes and see his little spark!

We promise to post pictures soon!

I'm glad he got into the tupperware drawer. My son used to like doing that.

It sounds like things are going really for you guys and it sounds like you are settling in like you've been together from the beginning. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
